| Bio: | In the 'Interests' list below are named all the bands/artists you'll find written about here in some form or other. Check out the monthly subject listings on the 'Calendar' page to locate and to access archived reviews and interviews. This webzine originates in Butterfly Crush fanzine, of which seven issues were printed between Autumn 2001 and Spring 2005: - # 1. 'Monsieur Butterfly.' Autumn 2001. Bulging, over-ambitious A4 edition. Interviews with Gnac, Figurine, Shermans, Tompaulin, Chapter13, The Feline Dream, and Solvent. Miscellaneous observations by i s a n. Spotlight on Preston School Of Industry. Book review of Stuart David's novel, Nalda Said. 'Hollywood Sonnets' by Quiller-Couch award-winning poet, Adam Crothers. Feature on Neil Gaiman by Adam Crothers. Music reviews, some by Adam Crothers. # 2. 'Spiral Stairs.' Spring 2002. A5. Interviews with Foam, The Reverse, Camera Obscura, and Orange Cake Mix. Spotlight on Gemma Hayes. Music reviews. # 3. 'Dreams Of 4.' Winter 2002. A5. Interviews with Kanda, Dntel, Dreams Of 4. Music reviews. # 4. 'Concetta Kirschner.' Spring 2003. A5. Interviews with Trilemma and The Vichy Government. Spotlight on Princess Superstar. Some thoughts on favourite records becoming overburdened by indelible personal associations. Music reviews and fanzine reviews. # 5. 'Irma La Douce.' Summer 2003. A5. Interviews with The Mist Beets and Elefant Records. Spotlight on Future Bible Heroes and Toktok VS. Soffy O. Music reviews. Was going to come with a free compilation CD of my own making, but boy did that scheme ever go wrong. # 6. 'Tears.' Summer 2004. A5. Interviews with The Party and The Uterus Women. Spotlight on Red Sirus and Diamanda Galas. Music reviews and fanzine reviews. Some copies came with a free CD of The Party's 'It's The Small Things That Keep You Awake' EP or of a Colchester Recordings compilation. Probably my favourite issue, for what it's worth. # 7. 'Rut Landshoff.' Spring 2005. A5. Interviews with The Conspiracy and Lights Out Asia. Spotlight on The Vichy Government and Eeriephone Records. Song lyrics by The Conspiracy's Duncan Pope. Music reviews and fanzine reviews. Copies of all of the above issues have sold out, but I will happily supply individual features and articles to the curious. | ||||
